DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 1 at 8:00 am \n\n\n\nOur course meets the requirements to apply for your Minnesota permit to carry. This Minnesota BCA-approved course consists of a classroom component and a 30 round shooting proficiency live-fire qualification. \n\n\n\nWe cover mandatory and pertinent topics such as: \n\n\n\n\nFirearm safety rules\n\n\n\nMindset\n\n\n\nStatutes on justifiable taking of life\n\n\n\nSafe storage requirements\n\n\n\nElements of self-defense\n\n\n\nStand your ground\n\n\n\nCastle doctrine\n\n\n\nRestrictions on carrying a firearm\n\n\n\nHandgun selection\n\n\n\nBallistics considerations\n\n\n\nShooting fundamentals\n\n\n\nInteracting with police\n\n\n\nPermit to carry requirements and restrictions\n\n\n\nMN Permit application details\n\n\n\nPermit reciprocity\n\n\n\nSelf-defense insurance\n\n\n\n\nThe Minnesota Permit to Carry class will enable you to apply for your Minnesota Permit.  It is also a great gun safety class.  Gun safety and proper mindset are key components to the class. This class will also qualify for a non-resident Florida Concealed Weapon License. The Florida license gives you greater reciprocity if you plan to travel with a firearm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou do not need a gun to take advantage of this class.  \n\n\n\nWe can arrange a loaner firearm in 9mm or .22LR.  If you go through with getting your Permit to Carry\, your permit will act as your Permit to Purchase.  Minnesota law requires a Permit to Purchase or a Permit to Carry in order to buy a handgun or an “assault rifle”. \n\n\n\nWhat do I need to bring to the class? \n\n\n\n\nIdentification (Driver’s License)\n\n\n\nClass fee – $95 (bring your spouse or significant other for $65!)\n\n\n\nFirearm with 30 rounds of ammunition\, or arrange for a loaner\n\n\n\nEar protection and eye protection; the range has loaner protection for free\n\n\n\nA willingness to learn!\n\n\n\n\n$95 – Bring your spouse or significant other for $65
