The permit to carry class you taught was excellent. As a retired Army Officer the safety of my men was always paramount. You treated us as if we were your soldiers and ensured we were given a great safety message but also kept it real and relatable. Getting the permit to carry brings great responsibility to the permit holder but also will help us defend ourselves if necessary.

Doug was kind enough to let me put together a private class for myself and other agents in my office. I along with others in class thought Doug did a fantastic job teaching the class. To be honest I thought it would be pretty boring but it was actually the opposite! We learned a lot of great information and he gave us many recourses too. I would highly recommend Doug!

Doug Taylor of Hat Trick Training presented one of the best classes I have attended. Doug was very professional, covered all the material clearly, and instructed with a calm, positive demeanor. My only criticism is that with all the good questions presented, it went a little longer than I had expected.

Doug, we really enjoyed your class.  Hard to believe that it was 3.5 hours long, the time flew by as the class had a great pace and you talked to the class, not at the class.   After leaving the range today, I went and bought a Glock 43. The couple next to me laughed when I told them our instructor told the husbands to let their wives buy their own guns. Bill and I are excited to get some range time to tighten up our shooting. Thanks again, we are thrilled that we completed your class.

Thank you for a truly great experience with again renewing my conceal carry permit for the 4th time. I learn more every time I attend a class, and renew my permit.   I found that your class was informative, fast paced, fact-based, and not subject to watching silly (cases scenarios) videos, and well-rounded without needless side discussions, that can take away from a small class setting. I found your (Gun Side Manner) at the range very positive and instructive. Always felt safe, comfortable, engaged and informed, and I knew what was expected. One thing I thought was great was the shooting from different handgun holds. Two hands, left hand only, and right hand only. That’s something that was different to me and was a welcomed change of what a person gets to, or comfortable with, no matter how much they shoot.  I spoke with 2 of the 3 females that also attended the class, and they both expressed how comfortable they were with you as an instructor, how you explained things in detail and helped lower their nervous feelings, while handling a firearm, and shooting. That’s not something that they are as familiar with, compared to a person who has handled firearms all of their life.
