Your class is well worth the time and money.   Your class exceeded my expectations and I'm very glad to have joined in. During Doug's permit class, his passion for promoting safe and confident "carry" is very obvious and infectious.

Doug is amazing! He and his wife have put together an all-encompassing course on firearm safety, knowledge, and confidence. I came into this class having very little experience with firearms and had a bit of a fear of the unknown.  Immediately this taboo was dissolved as Doug walked us through the ins and outs of firearm safety.  His teaching style is warm and eloquent.  He also respects his students' questions and adds a bit of humor to his presentation.  I give this course 5 out of 5 stars!  You will thoroughly enjoy your experience and feel confident going forward.

I recently attended the Minnesota Permit to Carry class presented by Doug Taylor of Hat Trick Training. Doug was not only knowledgeable about the subject matter but also very professional and thorough in his presentation. He included personal stories that held my interest and added a very humanistic touch to this material. I thought you did a great job of going through the basics and inserting real-life examples for clarification. Due to the covid pandemic, I thought the classroom you set up was ideal and I felt safe. I appreciated your instruction at the range. I also appreciated the fact that you didn't talk down to me or belittle me for my lack of experience.

I’d like to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciated the gun knowledge and safety class that you presented. I went into the class at the request of a friend with whom I’d gone to a shooting range. She emphasized the importance of gun knowledge and safety, and that I was pretty much a neophyte in gun knowledge.  While I disagreed and thought I knew most everything I needed to know beforehand, I was really taken back by how much I really did not know.   The overview and specifics of gun handling, the vast number of sizes, calibers, functioning, mechanisms, owning and carrying regulations, liabilities, and insurance were all new to me. The emphasis on safety and legal aspects were especially enlightening. You made it interesting with some anecdotal examples. In other words, it became an entertaining learning experience. We’ll be in contact with you for some individual instruction after I get my permit.
