I have been around guns all of my life, but I purchase a handgun last year out of interest in the hobby of shooting and home protection.  I attended Doug’s class because I wanted to get training in the proper use and safety associate with the ownership of a firearm.   The class that Doug gave was an excellent presentation of what I was looking for. Your class for the renewal of my gun permit definitely met my expectations. You covered topics that were not included in my last class – other state restrictions, types of guns, various MN laws, quick access box, self-defense insurance. I have given your information to my son who also needs to renew his permit.

I thought you did a great job of going through the basics and inserting real-life examples for clarification. Due to the covid pandemic, I thought the classroom you set up was ideal and I felt safe. I appreciated your instruction at the range. I also appreciated the fact that you didn't talk down to me or belittle me for my lack of experience.
