The permit to carry class you taught was excellent. As a retired Army Officer the safety of my men was always paramount. You treated us as if we were your soldiers and ensured we were given a great safety message but also kept it real and relatable. Getting the permit to carry brings great responsibility to the permit holder but also will help us defend ourselves if necessary.

Thank you for all the information you gave us today.  Learned a lot of things I wasn’t aware of.   I really don’t have any negative feedback at all!   Things you did well we’re as follows:

1. Good communication, great email reminders and the thing I like about you the most is you’re not afraid to pick up a phone and talk in person.
2. Organization, great presentation, and slides that you knew very well. 
3. Knowledgeable, you know the laws well, the dos and don’ts and we able to easily answer all questions.  You know a lot about guns and gun handling.  Watching you hold guns and use safety was an excellent example for all students.
4. Probably the most important for me is that you are very well-spoken.  Being in the medical field I have heard countless people talk, what gets me immediately is when speakers say “um” as a space filler.  Never heard you say it once!  You speak well and keep people engaged in what you are saying is my point.

I’d like to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciated the gun knowledge and safety class that you presented. I went into the class at the request of a friend with whom I’d gone to a shooting range. She emphasized the importance of gun knowledge and safety, and that I was pretty much a neophyte in gun knowledge.  While I disagreed and thought I knew most everything I needed to know beforehand, I was really taken back by how much I really did not know.   The overview and specifics of gun handling, the vast number of sizes, calibers, functioning, mechanisms, owning and carrying regulations, liabilities, and insurance were all new to me. The emphasis on safety and legal aspects were especially enlightening. You made it interesting with some anecdotal examples. In other words, it became an entertaining learning experience. We’ll be in contact with you for some individual instruction after I get my permit.

Great class today Doug. I valued the discussions around different real-life scenarios that may be encountered. The class was at a convenient location, time, and at a fair price. Definitely will recommend to family and friends that are looking for Permit to Carry training. I'll be in touch in the future for one on one training.
