June 22 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 am
This is a free training event for teachers, administrators, coaches, school staff, scout leaders, Sunday school staff, religious leaders, etc. If a participant has children in their care as part of their “duty”, then this event is for them.
We will be teaching the MN Permit To Carry (PTC) material for this event. This is more than just a gun class. Gun safety, situational awareness, and proper mindset are key components to the class.

Not all situations require a deadly force response. Have a non-lethal means of self-defense at hand and the training to use it correctly.
Pepper spray, or OC (oleoresin capsicum), is one of the best means for non-lethal self-defense. It may seem like common sense to use pepper spray, but there are techniques that help ensure that their use will effectively defend you when a threat presents itself. This course will teach you to effectively use your OC spray to protect yourself from imminent threats.
You will NOT be sprayed with active OC in this course. We will use inert (water-based) sprays for hands-on training.
If you are uncomfortable carrying a gun for self-defense or want an alternative to deadly force, pepper spray can be the right solution to help keep you safe.
Get an understanding of the various types of pepper spray and how to use them.
Understand how to evaluate the effectiveness of different brands.
Are there legal concerns with carrying and using pepper spray in Minnesota?
Receive hands on training with inert training units.
