I went into the class at the request of a friend with whom I’d gone to a shooting range. She emphasized the importance of gun knowledge and safety, and that I was pretty much a neophyte in gun knowledge.
While I disagreed and thought I knew most everything I needed to know beforehand, I was really taken back by how much I really did not know.
The overview and specifics of gun handling, the vast number of sizes, calibers, functioning, mechanisms, owning and carrying regulations, liabilities, and insurance were all new to me.
The emphasis on safety and legal aspects were especially enlightening.
You made it interesting with some anecdotal examples. In other words, it became an entertaining learning experience.
